A dessert in a glass. This beer is brewed using unfermentable lactose sugar, vanilla beans and plenty of roasted malts to provide a sweet, smooth caramel drinking experience. No blowtorch was used in the making of this beer.

Handpull cask at the Flying Pig Cambridge. Mid- to dark brown, slightly translucent. A decent ring of tan head. Mocha aroma with a surprisingly boozy note. Taste is mostly sweet with an unfortunate acidic streak. Short finish. I usually love Dark Star, but I find this unbalanced: cloying and sharp in alternate measures. Still drinkable though and I’m sure it will find many fans.

330 ml can. Dark brown body with a medium sized beige head. Lovely aroma of milk chocolate, caramel, brown sugar, malt and some vanilla. Flavor is strong with everything from the aroma, it actually tastes a lot like crème brûlée, but not too artificial, it’s actually very nice and you might still find the stout left somewhere in the flavors. Sweet but nice.

Can@Tuesday Taphouse Bottle Share, Copenhagen - black pour with beige head. Sweet malty aroma and taste with some prominent sweet chocolate, nice vanilla compliment, some caramel, fudge, after dinner desert in a can, couldn’t drink allot of this but nice as a taster.
