Heavy clove, orange, caramel malt, and hay aroma. Chestnut brown with large tan head. Moderately sweet clove, cinnamon, orange, caramel malt, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Good body. The only thing I've smelled with more clove aroma was pure cloves but thankfully the flavor is much more subdued. Very nice.

650 ml bottle thank TJ. 2017 vintage. Dark brown color. Flavor is honey, citrus peel, harsh clove, and a blast of spice in the finish.

Can. Pours faintly cloudy reddish dark amber with medium sized beige foamy head, ginger and cinnamon aroma, medium carbonation, spicy taste with a metallic tinge, medium sticky sweet finish. Interestingly spicy but the sticky sweet finish is not very enticing.

On tap at Ashley’s Westland. Red amber pour with a white head. Matly nutmeg aromas. Spice flavors of nutmeg, ginger, cinnamon, with a malty presence. Restrained and smooth. Rather nice.

16 ounce can into pint glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours slightly hazy orange/copper color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of caramel, honey, toast, orange peel, cinnamon, nutmeg, gingerbread, clove, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt, honey, and spice notes; with solid strength. Taste of caramel, honey, toast, orange peel, cinnamon, nutmeg, gingerbread, clove, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Light herbal/spice bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, honey, toast, orange peel, cinnamon, nutmeg, gingerbread, and herbal/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Good complexity and solid robustness of dark/bready malt, honey, and spice flavors; with a nice malt/spice balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice winter warmer style. All around good complexity, balance, and robustness of dark/bready malt, honey, and spice flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink for the ABV. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Flavor has marzipan, cherry, cinnamon, brown sugar, fruit cake, a little cherry jam, clove. Spicy, fruity finish. Solid holiday ale.
