12 ounce bottle. Amber orange color. Pillowy beige head. Toasted malt nose hints at bread and toffee. Sweet toasted malt flavor. Notes of caramel, cut grass and earthy malt. Finishes clean with a bit of herbal and spicy hops.

12oz bottle. Sort of weak offering, embarrassed to have thrown some bottles of this to friends in mix packs. Maybe a pinch too much amber malt, maybe no hop balance, maybe no lagering finesse....probably all three. Kind of a stale malty tone. In no way nails it, but drinkable on some levels.

On the fruity side of the festbier spectrum, with prominent toffee and caramel notes but most notable for the strong apple esters and lemon zest undertones offsetting the normal nutty, deep malt base. Finishes bready and semidry with a prolonged floral bitterness. Good orange hue with a moderate off-white head and some lace, but the nose is pretty nondescript, mild nuttiness but mostly pale lager blandness. Good crisp texture.

Tap at Rattle clean copper pour. Nose and taste are the same light malts, hintbof dries leaves, cellar floor, and caramel. Crisp and pretty good

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a slightly orange hue to it. Almost no head on this one and any bubbles are gone quickly. Aromas of honey, dough, apple juice. Flavor is a nice mix of malty sweetness and light fruit. Very nice Oktoberfest.

I think this is a little past its prime. Pours a little brown with OK head and lacing. A little bit of a sour mash aroma. Bottle.

12 oz. bottle thanks to queenholly. Part of a side-by-side-by- side tasting. Dark copper pour with spotty lace. Aroma is sweet caramel and grain. Flavor is slight sweet malt and toasted grains, quaffable but not very exciting. Maybe it’s falling off… has that old malt flavor but not in a good way.
