Draught at the brewery. Inky dark brown with medium sized creamy tan head with long endurance, coffee bean aroma, low carbonation, sweetish milky chocolate taste, thin body, medium mocha finish. Very smooth but a bit watery.

Dark brown with a lasting coat of lighter brown head, and sheeting lace. Roasted coffee nose and flavor. Solidly bitter. Very creamy and drinkable. Dry finish. Nice beer. Favorite for me at Rockaway.

A deep dark stout with a thin dark brown head. In aroma, nice bitter chocolate with coffee grind, musty character, nice and pleasant. In mouth, nice bitter chocolate with coffee grind, musty character, grassy hops, light metallic notes, nice and bitter. On tap at brewery.

Keg at the rewery - both regular and nitro. The regular is better so will ate that. Pours black-brown with a creamy beige head. The nose has hard roated malts, dry chocolate, prunes. Light to medium sweet flavor with ash, charred toast, some baking cocoa, earth. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Further ashy roast on the finish, some burnt leaves, chalky cocoa. Pretty OK.

At the brewery: Pours black with a tan head. Aroma is coffee beans and a whole lot of them (even though they do not put coffee into this). Anyway, the taste is slightly bitter coffee. They said this was an Irish dry stout, but this is definitely a much more American Stout. That said, I liked it.

On draft at ChurchKey in DC. Pours black with a massive fine head. Aroma of chocolate milk. Flavors of cocoa nibs, hints of coffee and some lactose. Smooth and velvety mouthfeel. Slight bitter finish.

Draft at Churchkey. Pours black with a thick beige head (nitro pour). Aroma has big lactose, slightly sickly, roast, coffee and dark chocolate. Flavour is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy carbonation.
