Bottle from House of Trembling Madness bottle shop, York. Horse chestnut brown. Off white, thin, but lasting head. Aroma is cherry lips, muscovado sugar, a hint of dark chocolate. The yeast is there, in the background. Hint of licorice too. Taste is sour, and sweet, then bitter. Mighty fine, complex beer.

Bottle. Dark reddish amber with a beige head that lasts quite well. Woody, vinous aroma with dried fruit, vanilla. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Taste is full of dark fruits and some roasted grain, hazelnuts. Woody finish. Interesting. Could use a little more body. Would indeed go very well with duck.
