Aus der Flasche im 2017-08 getrunken. Schon an der Nase wird man sofort an ein Rodenbach Grand Cru erinnert. Die tolle Aromen in der Nase kann dann leider der Gaumen nicht ganz die gleiche Klasse eines Rodenbaches bestätigen. Doch es bleib ein schönes, süffiges Sour Ale.

Bottle from beer[malade]. Dark amber color with small white head. Aroma of cocoa, plums, wood, solvent, some sourness. Taste, plums, wood, caramel, dark berries, bread. Very good.

July 2018: Similar to the first time I had it but I appreciate it a little more now. A clear deep reddy brown, small beige head. Aroma of balsamic vinegar, red wine, oak. Taste is the same, also berry fruits, very tart, sharp. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, finishes with a burning acidity at the back of the throat.
July 2017: 330ml bottle. Pours a clear very dark brown colour, thin beige head disappearing immediately. Aroma: very vinous, red wine like, oaky. Taste: like the aroma the taste is akin to that of a red wine, oaky, vinous, vinegar, sweet, quite tart and sour red berries. Medium body, average carbonation, acidic feel at the back of the throat, too vinegary.

Draft. A hazy deep red beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and acetone. The flavor is acidic with notes of acetone, malt, fruits, and cherries, leading to a tart finish.

Medium brown. Not much head. The aroma and flavour both have a lot of oak, quite a bit of vinegar, and some dark fruits. A nice example of the style, actually.

Flaska från SB. Rödbrun vätska utan skum. Trevlig bouquet med många nyanser. Kärnfrukt, ek, vaniljs och söt bärig vinäger. Smaken bjuder också på choklad, tanniner av det bäriga slaget. Komplex och riktigt god.

Draught @ Mig & Ølsnedkeren. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of malt, light caramel, light sourness, wood, berries, cherries, dark fruit, little balsamico. Flavor is sweet, light sour, malt, caramel, wood, oak, light spicyness, berries, dark fruit. Medium body, average carbonation, sweet and light acidic finish. 8-4-8-4-16. 240617

Bottle. A bit of a gusher on opening. Pours reddish chestnut, small beige head, dissipates slowly, nice lacing. Some fairly large floaties. Aroma is dark fruits, wood tannins, roast, molasses. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, a hint of tartness perhaps. Medium body, soft. Interesting.

Flaska från SB. Tack Samuel214. Syrliga toner som drar åt kolaremmar, körsbär och kandisocker. Stora ektoner och tanniner tillsammans med rödvin. Den liksom luktar snustorr och stram. Något större kropp. Inte alls så torr som förväntat, snarare lite oljig. Smaken drar åt rödvinsvinäger och körsbär. Lite ek. Även en del alkohol som värmer på jämte lite bittra toner och en snäll beska. Helhetsintrycket drar mycket åt ett lite eldigare rödvin. Trevlig!
