Mega-Hop Sauce Double IPA is a cracker. Vienna and crystal malts give this ale a deep amber hue and balance for the bitterness, while bucket-loads of Calypso, Melba and Topaz hops result in a fruity, resinous delight that is really hard to drink in moderation.

Can, date is smudged. Somewhat hazy amber with a dense white head. 3+ Peachy aroma with bread, kumquat, mandarin. 7- Where the aroma is pleasant but maybe a little subdued, it's rather cruder upon a taste: quite sweet with bread and caramel, then a big whack of bitterness and citrus. Some spices, earth and menthol. Better as it warmed a little - I guess started at 9C.

Can at Dan's 10K, thanks to Dave. It pours hazy orange with a small white head. The aroma is soft, fresh, quite bright, orange sherbet, peach, apricot and some tangy marmalade. The taste is dry, bitter, orange rind, green, grassy, dank, some alcohol and some raw alcohol with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Nice aroma, but it is a touch raw on the taste.

Bottle split at the Osprey 10K tasting, CBC Islington, thanks to Dave 21/03/18. Lightly hazed golden with a decent off white cap. Nose is mellow hops, citric tinged straw, orange pith, grapefruit, caramel. Taste comprises citric sherbets, bread dough, grapefruit, caramel, cantaloupe melon, light pine. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Average for style ... overly sweet for my liking.

Can shared in London - cheers! Pours clear gold with a slight, creamy head. Not bad, some flinty minerals, rind, orange peel. Medium. I died with fine carbonation. Oily finish, more flinty minerals, pale grains. So so.

Craft Angel. Dan's 10K boostfest. Can thanks to Dave. Light haze on this gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Soft dry malts, light creamy sweetness. Good orange peel richness and bitterness. Little spice and tangerine. Light semi dry finish. Good.

From a 375ml can on 13/9/2017. Pours a hazy dark golden with a small head. Has a light caramel nose with some sweet fruit in the mix. Taste wise, there's lots of caramel and biscuit malt, followed by lots of sweet fruity goodness - apricot, peach and mango. The hops are big, piny and resiny, balancing out the sweet fruit and maly beautifully. The palate is quite syrupy and sticky. Just a sensational DIPA - bold, intense, complex and balanced. How wonderful to see Aussie brewers producing big beers which are every bit as good as those made by quality brewers in the US.

From can. Pours almost orange. Huge piney nose. Very resinous, but not overbearing. Lives up to name.
