Bottle from the Bierkoning Amsterdam, courtesy of Kermis. Poured a clear medium copper with a thin white head. The aroma is huge boozy alcohol but it’s not that alcoholic! There’s loads of rich fruit, orange peel, a little metallic too. Quite an amazing nose. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a huge smooth floral metallic hop malt palate. Medium to full bodied with a long bitter finish. Quite an amazing beer really and very special. One for small quantities tho.

Bottle shared. Pours clear amber with a bubbly off white head. Aroma of jammy, marmalade hops, fudge, citrus and grass. Flavor is moderate sweet and over moderate bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle, at Nærbø Ølfestival 2013. It pours an unclear golden body and an off-white head of medium size leaving some lacings. The aroma has piney, resiny hops, some alcohol and higher alcohols. The flavor has some bakers yeast as well as bitterness, sweetness in the back and piney, resiny hop flavors. Full-bodied, lightly warming and with a nice carbonation level. Although it feels a bit unclean it’s a nice beer. 131019

Sampled at Nærbøfestivalen 2013. Unclear orange body with an off-white head. Aroma have citric fruit and ripe fruit with some pine and caramel malt. Flavor is sweet with some alcohol and lots of fruity bitterness and a hint of yeast. Fine and balanced body with bitter aftertaste. Not the most typical IPA and quite close to an imperial IPA, but nice and refreshing anyway without being outstanding.

Sample at Nærbø Ølfestival. Golden colour with a white head. Aroma is Aroma and flavour is fruit, malt, hop, pine, alcohol, orange. Bitter finish. OK/Nice beer.

Bottle, 7.2%. Good fruity hop aroma. Cloudy dark orange colour. Very big stable white head. The flavour is very hoppy, that is very bitter with a strong citrus peel bitterness as well. Not so much sweetness to balance the bitterness. Refreshing, though. Very high carbonation.

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy orange amber with airy but stable off-white head. Clear aroma of hops, citrus, and grass. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with citric and grassy notes. Medium body. Hoppy finish. A touch if needles and a doscernible note of booze. Nice.

330ml bottle from Beer Ritz, Leeds. As expected LOTS of hoppy flavours with tangerine & grapefruit getting a nose in, alongside a solid resinous backbone. Yet another fine Redwillow brew.

Bottle. Amber colour with an off-white head with nice lacework and good retention. Aroma is fresh hoppy with notes of citrus and flowers. Flavor is slightly citrusy and mild flowery with a light maltiness. Final almost watery with a mild bitterness.

Bottle. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Moderate malty and heavy hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. Long heavy bitter finish. Oily palate. Nice.
