Bomber. Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Clear gold. Thick, bubbly, lasting, white head. Very crisp, grassy, lemon aroma. Grainy malts. Very fresh. Taste is crisp dry, with a lemon hop bitterness. Clean palate. Finishes dry, light bitter, with a lingering, grainy sweetness. Very nice.

22 ounce bottle shared at a tasting, 10/6/14. Pours a clear golden with a large creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of floral, herbal hops, pale malts, a bit of dust. The taste is tropical, citrus hops, pale malt. Medium bodied.

Bottle, another bomber bargain, $2.99 at the Bozeman Co-op. Clear golden-yellow pour with a finger of fluffy white head. Lots of carbonation. Mild nose of malt, grass, and grain. Clean pilsner taste with a nice emphasis on the malt, but good floral bitters to balance. Nice to find this late in the summer while the grass still needs to be cut.

Bomber - clear gold with a soapy lace - nose is lightly swee pils malt, some moderate mineral (with a touch of sulphur), some flowery hallertau, but also a touch of cheese rind hop character - flavor is doughy and medium-sweet at first - a bit watery, and lacking the crisp, defined malt character that makes a great pils - some dry mineral and moderate hop bitterness - some fruity, white grape character late - kind of muddled, really - a drinkable lager, I suppose, but really lifeless compared to better examples of the style.

Clear yellow beer, big creamy white head, stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: bit soapy, malts, hay, grains, bit sweet. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: grains, malts, bitter hops, some citrus. Aftertaste: grassy hops, malty, pretty dry and bitter.

Hey uh...good job to local distro for just now getting this one this week (in other words, you suck), here’s the best by date: 06/15/14.
I had this into a pilsener glass.
The appearance was a super clear light yellow with fast rising carbonation filling a rapidly dissipating head. The head was about a finger’s worth of white foaminess that once it started to die, there was a nice amount of foamy lacing sticking all over coating the sides of the glass.
The smell was grassy with a load of hay-like features, extremely light yet somewhat floral at the end.
The taste was a light grassy light maltiness leading into a grassy/hay-like aftertaste and a decent dry finish.
On the palate, it sat pretty light and showed a great sessionability about it. The carbonation seemed a bit smoother than most Pilseners, but that’s ok, I liked it.
Overall, for a pilsener close to expiring and a distro that’s probably one of the worst in the nation - way to go to Deschutes for making a pilsener well worthy of having again.

Bottle. Very pale gold with a white head that laces well. Floral aroma with hay, some spices, a little lemon and hints of berries. Light, crisp, moderately carbonated. Very clean hay-like malt, more lemon than suggested in the aroma, firm bitterness in a fairly dry but not austere finish. A quaffer rather than an aperitif pils. Could be a little softer in the mouth, but a pretty impressive beer.

22 oz. bottle, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Nose is fairly light, with moderate grassiness and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is extremely well-balanced, with a perfect balance between dry grassy hops and crisp biscuity malt. No residual sugar, with a dry, and highly crisp palate. Now this is how you do a pilsner. Excellent stuff.

Nice pilsener, onylo thig lacking is the some bubbly carbonation. All else this is pretty close to a German pilsner, spot on, light with the right amount of dry bitter hops to make it linger on the palate..
