Tap at BPBW'19 Saturday session. I only took numerical notes while having this one.

Notes from Spring 2019, sample at the brewery. Cloudy yellow to orange, small off-white head. Immediate acidity in the aroma backed up by sour berries, tart fruit and a salty-herbal combo. Quite sour with a lemony touch along with other tart fruit, slightly salty. Light body, very refreshing, soft to moderate carbonation, dry and quite sour finish. One of my favourites.

Can from Dranken Geers, Oostakker. Pours hazy yellow with a lasting, very thin, foamy white head. Aroma of gooseberry, unripe peach & mandarin, lemon, wheat, yoghurt. Taste is medium fruity sour, peach, lemon & starfruit over a wheaty, yoghurty & bready character, even a bit minerally (faintest touch of salt), some sweetish mango. Dryish, tart, lemony finish, more unripe fruit & wheat. Medium body, slick-chalky texture, fizzy carbonation. Very likeable & drinkable little Sour.

Draught Head gone in an instant; fully hazy orangey-pineapplejuice coloured beer. Sharp herbal-pharmaceutical-fruity nose - and indeed, the aroma of buckthornberries. Tart, wry, ultra dry-out effect. Fruity, even more outspoken buckthorn, bit lemony/lactic. Lipsmacking acidity. Very refreshing, feels probably even lighter than its 3.8% would warrant. Saliva glands killer. But far from bad!

Pours very, very hazy. Looks like yeast dregs. No real head. Smell is sharp, very fresh, floral, bit fruity. No idea what seabuckthorn actually tastes like, but it has some similar aspects to passion fruit, at least in this beer. Taste is sharp, dry, tart ( lacto), bit fruity. OK beer, ends very dry. Bit like a sour lemonade. Not great, but certainly acceptable.

Can from the brewery. Milky yellow body, small head. Salty, lactic aroma, some randomberry. Salty taste, lactic, light, tart, with fermented berry notes. Not that bad, but not their most exciting sour.

Draft @ BBP Wanderlust festival 2019, shared with Tderoeck.
