Poured into a chalice, the appearance was a ruddy burnt golden slightly amber color with a slight orange hues along the sides of the glass. Slim cap of a little white head quickly dissipated and left no lace.
The aroma had the ginger bold and spicy up front encasing some floral/herbal/grassy sweetness to the bottom of the nose. Slight woody and vanilla components came out. Light apricot further underneath.
The flavor was spicy initially through the ginger. Sweet malty cleanliness played with the wood and vanilla. Apricot sweetness underneath. Aftertaste was the ginger and the malts. Finish was just a touch sticky sweet.
The palate was almost medium bodied, seemed to sit just a touch under. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, I liked it for me, but the ginger seemed to overpower the Tripel qualities.

Slightly hazy copper coloured body with a light orange glow and a nice, relatively fast-dying tan head. Aroma of alcohol, yeast, coriander seed, curacao, full oranges, tons of wheat and a lot of nice sugars. Full-bodied; Strong yeast and wheat flavour at first with a lot of orange, curacao, coriander seed and a bit of a banana and bready type flavour. Aftertaste shows a bit of the yeast, some sugars and a hint of bubble gum - very nice. Overall, relatively potent and a nice beer for the style - good flavour and a nice subtle difference than most other trips. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 09-September-2012 for US$5.55 sampled at home in Washington on 30-October-2012.

Pours deep gold into a tulip. Off-white head with medium retention recedes leaving scant spiders to skim surface. Ginger and sour caramel aromas. Thick with sweet caramel and toffee upfront turning to mild ginger in the medium length finish.

22 oz bottle from Julio’s Liquors’. Used a pint. Cloudy gold in color with sizable soapy type head. Nose is lots of fruit esters. Lots of fruit with sweet malt. Ginger is an afterthought and not real noticeable until it got real warm. Maybe I have been hit with the “power of suggestion” Because I taste mango. A decent wheat/ yeast body. Little bit of sugar. Not a traditional Tripple however, I enjoyed this. A good summer quencher. ABV is not detectable at all.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 3/23/12

Aroma: The nose has some honey, a decent amount of yeast, and quite bit of spice
Appearance: The pour is a cloudy gold-orange color with a small white head and light lacing
Flavor: The taste is rather sweet as well, with a big spice presence, and minimal bitterness
Palate: The body is light-medium, with a soft carbonation, and a rather sticky feel on the mouth
Overall Impression: This was a decent, though heavily sweet, example of a Tripel. It wasn't a favorite for me, but it was a decent one.

Bottle: Poured an orangey color ale with a big foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma was totally dominated by ginger which is not an ingredient often found in tripel but it was still enjoyable. Taste was also dominated by loads of ginger with some coriander and a sweet Belgian style malt profile. Full body with great carbonation and no alcohol was detectable. Definitely not close too the style but nonetheless very enjoyable.
