A delightful example of the pale ale style and a great compliment to food and music.

Bottle from Liz. This is Red Brick Pale Ale (93 Beer Here on label) which the BA site indicates is an alias of Peachtree Pale, or vice versa. ABV on this bottle is 5.6%. Pours hazy orange gold with a creamy white head. Nice citrus/grapefruit aroma. Med body. Flavor has some resin, but I think grapefruit is the stronger. Not quite dry. Decently bitter. Drinks well.

12oz bottle. Unfiltered golden-tan. Big, steady off-white head. Some grapefruit and other citrus in the aroma. Very fruity and citrusy, this is a pleasant surprise. Really tastes quite peachy, almost like fruit extract has been utilized. Medium bodied, quite refreshing, cooling mouthfeel. I’m really quite impressed if there isn’t some sort of additive. Solid APA, but sort of loses points overall because of a sneaking suspicion of infection.

A lightly hazed pale ale with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, a doughy malt with faint hops. In mouth, a chalky grainy malt with light boiled veggies, mineral and boring. On tap at Willards, Jan 5 2011.

12 ounce bottle from somewhere. Pours a hazy peach color with a thin head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel with bright citrus fruit notes. Just tad bit of chlorine. Taste is bitter, leafy hops. Not as well balanced on the aroma. Citrus finish. Medium bodied,

courtesy of Eric owner of Trappeze, Athens GA. Pours clear amber with white head. Aroma is hoppy, with good citrus like aromas. Taste, light fruit for a mix between bitter and sweet, between apricot and some bitter citrus. Finish of light bitter hops. Decent, but not spectacular.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark amber color with a medium sized yellow-white head. The aroma was sour, bitter, fruity and piney with a touch of resin. The flavor was sweetish, tangy and bitter with notes of pine and resin. The beer turned dry on the finish that was long with piney hops. Decent.

Bottle. Sour milk malt aroma - a slight wiff of wood smoke. Cloudy orange amber color with large lasting head. Slight sour milk taste up front followed by a light caramel and strong metallic hops flavor. Probably have to try again - this tastes infected.

Bright amber with a thick head. Lightly crisp, balanced but bland. Canned mushrooms, caramel and almost a hint of toastiness.

Clear gold color with a creamy white head. Very tame beer here. Weak aroma has some malt and hops but lacks overall intensity to make it a big player. Lighty bitter with a bit of sourness in the finish. Average.

Slightly hazy golden colour with strong orange highlights. VERY LARGE (at leat 5 centimetres in a big glass--way too much) dense off-white head. Smells of citrusie hops very prominent and definately mouthwatering. Strong citrus sweetness along with that citrus hoppiness in the taste, which is very pleasant. The aftertaste is a bit shallow, only showing a small amount of the hops and an evern smaller amount of the malt, but after the strong flavour, it was acceptable! Seemingly a bit out of balance, having too much hops and not enough malt, but odd enough--I like it that way. A very close contender to being considered an India Pale, this one is very hoppy for an APA, and blows my mind that it isn't ranked higher. My only complaint is that its head was WAY too large, but it died down a few minutes later. I got this twelve ounce beer from Matt A. (Mabdoney) in Florida. Thanks again, Matt!!!
