A Yeastie Boys x Cigar City collaboration. We brought over Cigar City Brewing's Wayne Wambles to brew a Lichtenhainer inspired by gastronomy and summery cocktails. What transpired featuring barbecue charred lemon, lemongrass, and juniper is an incredibly moreish mixed fermentation beer with hints of smoke and a beautifully cleansing tartness.

Can. Just slightly hazy gold with a white head that's soon a coat. Aroma is lemony, mildly funky and smoky. More body than I expected with modest carbonation. Spicy and a little smoky with lemons less obviously an addition. Mildly tart and slightly bitter at the end. Lichtenhainer my arse but it has an unusual refreshing balance. --- Beer merged from original tick of Cigar City Brewing With Wayne on 26 Aug 2019 at 12:36 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7. 440ml can. My first Lichtenhainer I believe. Hazy orange, off-white head. Smokey aroma, beech, zesty lemon. Taste is very citrusy, lemon, zest, smokiness more subtle than expected from the aroma, but almost meaty in a way, a nice balance of sour and smoke. Medium body and carbonation.

Keg at Fierce Bar. It pours hazy orangey with a medium white head. The aroma is lemon sherbet, zingy, sour gooseberry, lemon, cracker, wet hay, must, dull smoke, lemongrass and sweaty funk. The taste is crisp, dry, tangy lemony fruits, lactic, smoked cheese, salty, peppery spice, quite savoury, musty, gooseberry, lemon rind, kick of acidity, burnt oak,and some minerality. Lighter end of medium body and moderate to high carbonation. Interesting elements to it, but its a bit muddled IMO.
