Tasting at Bruce’ s pad. Thanks to Leighon for filling in the Brew By Numbers holes! Lightly hazy gold beer with a tidy pale cream coloured head. Airy soft palate with light fine carbonation. Big Mosaic fruitiness! Passion fruit and lesser generic fruits. Little hop spice. Mosaic really dominates. Finishes semi dry. Nice beer.

Bottle at Colin’s 5K, thanks to Leighton. It pours hazy golden with a small white head. The nose is orange, mandarin, juicy mango, wood, varnish and a touch of pepper. The taste is orange, grapefruit, tangerine pith, varnish, earth, wood polish and some spice with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Nice citrus character. Rather tasty.

Bottle shared at my 5K tasting at Bruce’s pad, thanks to Leighton for this one, 13/11/13. Hazed orange amber with a thin off white covering. Nose is bitter orange, citric tang, light caramel, earthy hops, grass. Taste comprises orange pith, mineral bite, lemon sherbet, light grapefruit, tangy citrics, earthy hops. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, grassy hop bitterness in the finish. Decent IPA raw citrics and earthy - nice drying course affair.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at the brewery. Pours lightly hazy, dark orange-gold with a sturdy, frothy white head that relaxes into a cream. The aroma holds lots of creamy citrus, orange, mango, hints of pine. Medium sweet flavor with lightly toasted pale malts, bread, mild piney bitterness and ripened citrus fruits - orange, grapefruit, tangerine. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Mild hoppy pine resins to finish, strong bready malts, further orange, a bit of bitter citrus rind. An IPA with a fairly pronounced malt backbone to counter the ample hops in there. Good stuff.

Bottle at home thanks to my BNB pusher Leighton. Aroma is huge wharfs of juicy tropical cascading from the glass. There is peach surbert, lemon zest, hint of pine. Wonderful. Rich golden colour with a uniform steadfast white head. Small haze. Flavour is composed of clean pale malt profile, with a light biscuit. Hop flavour is fruit salad, pine and light spicy pepper in the finish. Aggregive biting grapefruit bittering that lingers around at the back of the throat. Bitterness is a bit heavy handed for me, but the hop aroma is just wonerful. I’m sure that aroma would present itself better in the flavour had it not been for the massive bittering charge. Still a great beer.
