Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of cough syrup and cherry syrup with light roasted notes is mildly enjoyable. Taste is a mix of cough syrup with cherry flavored syrup, quite a bit of residual sugar notes with some lactose. Body is full with creamy texture and good carbonation. Not a big fan of the cherry flavour in this beer.

Bottle split at Bruces pad - for the last time, thanks to Kenwold, 27/03/15. Light black with a decent tan covering. Nose is spice, dark fruits, chocolate, tar, ripe red berries. Taste comprises rich fruit, dark chocolate, spice, charr, cherry skins. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent impy, masks the ABV well.

Swan Song at Bruce’s. Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Comparatively light palate, semi dry with mild fine carbonation. Sweet toffee and dark chocolate. Mild lactose, sort of Milky Way centre. Modest cherry, some maraschino character. Not bad, a bit lactose.

Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Mitch. Pours deep brown with a creamy tan head. Kind of awkward aroma, some dark berries, maybe some milk chocolate, roast. Medium sweet flavor, a little metallic, some lightly tangy berries, cocoa. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Novel finish, some dark fruits, cherry, berries, cocoa, light roast. Pretty tasty.
