Blonde, 5,5% abv, hazy and opalescent, creamy head. Her nose is a mix of citrus fruits and flowers - thanks to the use of ‘forgotten’ hop varieties, grown with love in the south of Germany - with a note of ripe pear. It develops flavours of citrus, bergamot and kumquat, as well as notes of rustic cereals (spelt, wheat, and rye) and wild flowers. Its final is very dry, as the style wants it. A real thirst-quencher!

(Bottle) Hazy golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, malty nose with white bread, lemon, pineapple, honey, hay and flowers. Fruity, floral taste with notes of bread, orange, lemon, honey, pineapple, apples, flowers and a generous spicy, floral bitterness in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and well made saison, with a generous spicy, herbal hop presence. Very nice.

33 cl bottle @ home. Bottled 12.06.2019, BBE 12.06.2020 Aroma is quite mild with biscuity malt and nettles. Flavour has grainy malt, minerals, some grapefruit and very mild bretta vibes. Finishes with mild herbal hop kick. Feels like an average Belgian ale, where is the fruity saison yeast?

Bottle. Malt Attacks, Brussels. Dark straw colour. Fully hazy. Thick, sturdy, white foam. Nose has pale grain. Some lemon. Some yeasty notes. Not a ton going off. Taste is dry and light bitter. Light body. Super foamy, burp inducing carbonation. Light dry and bitter finish. Disappointingly nondescript.

Draught @ GIST, Brussels. Smooth, slightly hoppy and floral fruity with some yeastiness, farmyard and earthiness. Decent.

Bottle at Nuetnigenough. Pale blond, lightly cloudy. Strong building bitterness, sharp. Grainy, bit of flour. Some citrus after bitterness fades. Feels quite like taras boulba. Rerate of the 2016 version. Lovely fruitiness. Classic De La Senne. Maybe like a lightly tropical zinnebir. Mango and peach. Quite dry though. Got that Belgian yeastiness. Seems I like it more this year! --- Beer merged from original tick of Saison du Meyboom on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:05 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 9 | Flavor - 9 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 9.
