Geproefd op 30-11-2013. Stevige tripel met een stevige body en een goed gevoel gevend. Van Steenberge waardig. Meer info bij: http://www.beersfrombelgium.eu/nl/Bornem_Tripel-b-1042.html

750 ml bottle from Market Basket. Chalice shows a perfect display of hazy gold with a lasting cap of white head. Smell of fruity yeast, bread, some spice and sugar. Taste is big with tropical fruit peach, mango and star fruit. Floral citrus notes provide some bitterness. Some sharp local flavor which is odd to me since I’ve had this bottle at least 9 months. Drying texture. For a largely available Belgian triple, its pretty good.

Sampled from bottle @ home. Because I read an article about the beer being an alias of another beer from Van Steenberge I didn’t want to rate it. I sent in feedback with a link to the aforementioned article expecting the beer to be aliased. Since this has not happened even though it’s been quite some time now I have decided to rate it anyway. I’ll be brief though. Clear golden color, slightly fruity. Meh.Earlier Rating: 6/23/2011 Total Score: 2.6Golden color with white head. Smell malts and something I don’t like but don’t know what it is. Taste is hard to tell, too much carbonation masks it.

Average tripel beer, there are a lot of these. Not very interesting, just enjoyable.

Süßlicher, etwas getreidiger Antrunk mit milden hellen Malznoten. Würzig, hohe Karbonisierung. Das Bier bleibt angenehm süß, leichte frische Kräuter, Lavendel. Rund, vollmundig. Angenehm hopfig im Hintergrund. 11/11/9/9/7/9

Bottle at Cafe De La Gare, Den Haag. Poured a hazy amber, with a big frothy white head. The aroma is dry and yeasty. The flavour is medium bitter, yeasty, crisp, fresh and alcoholic. Rather like Duvel, but not as good!

33cl, bb 09-07-2014.
