[Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading] Light amber, slight white head, slight fizz. Lemon up front with some smooth malt coming through, a hint of spice (coriander?) and a mild bitterness in the finish. Low-key but OK.

Spoons Fest! Clear amber beer. Tiny suddy white head. Smooth palate - almost carbonation free - a little dry. Well balanced even malt and some hybridised orange and grapefruit bitterness. Finishes dry. Dull but okay. Could taste no Nelson to Motueka.

Cask at the Claude du Vall (JDW), Camberley. Golden amber with a loose white head; grainy aroma; sweet grainy flavour; thinly bodied; with a light floral bitterness to finish. Elegant and very easy drinking.

Cask handpull at County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Golden brown with thin lasting white head. It’s a bitter. If it has Nelson Sauvin then it’s pretty well hidden. Some bitterness in mouth, some light fruit in the flavour. Perfectly acceptable light bitter..

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial rooms, Bristol 24/10/10. Copper with a slight, off-white head. Sweet aroma of caramel and floral hop. Flavour started sweet with a touch of earthiness, before a hoppy, bitter finish. Good.

Cask, handpump, The Penny Black, JDW, Bicester, Oxon 24.10.10 Pours copper in colour, very good looker, white head atop. Very decent straightforward session beer, really likeable, my only criticism is that it is served just a tiny bit too cold but otherwise for a JDW it;’s in excellent nick, not getting too much on the nose but the coldness maybe partly to blame. Tastewise it’s very simple, nicely bitter, not too sweet, bit drying at end, good hoppy bitter but with the hops not dominating, got to be honest I was surprised to see Motueka and Nelson Sauvin in here, thought it tasted very British.
