Meh. 9/5/6/4/8/5

Cinnamon Weizenbock Te Drinken?, 33-cl-Dose vom Craftbeer-Shop.com. (15.3.2022.)

0,33 l can from Wijnalda, Haren. Cloudy dark red brown with an one finger pale beige foamy head in the glass. Low malty on the nose, little bit winery sourness. Taste is malty, also some orange fruity sourness in the background. Little bit dry. Below average carbonation. Expected more. Way more.

0.33 l can from 't Biermenneke, best before August 2022. Hazy, ruby with a medium large, foamy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity, moderately yeasty-spicy aroma of cherry, caramel, some cinnamon and a touch of overripe banana. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, slightly yeasty-spicy and a little fruity taste of caramel, chocolate, nuts, some cinnamon, light cherry and a touch of overripe banana, followed by a short, gently bitter, slightly yeasty-spicy, minimally chalky finish. Medium body, quite effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Pleasant beer but a little one-dimensional, lacks the depth and complexity of one of the great examples of the style, yet nicely balanced.

Bottle at Musicon. Bit hazy dark brown with small beige head. Caramel, earthy, soft wheat, cloves, bitter herbs, walnuts, dry berry skins. Not much cinnamon. Over medium sweet and solid medium bitter, light tart. Over medium bodied. It’s OK, but a little weird.
