Bottle shared in London - thanks to Danny. Pours clear gold with a foamy, white head. Simple dried bread in the nose, citrus rind. Light sweet flavour with noes of cereal, rind, pale grains, pine needles. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with husky bitterness, more citrus rind, hay, bread crust. So so.

Bottle on Level 42. Thanks to Daniel for this one. A deep orange amber coloured pour with a lasting halo of white head.. Aroma is nutty honey, green hop, raisin. Flavour is layered sweet honey, cereal, little grassy hop, green,. Palate is semi sweet, moderate carbonation, grassy green hop. Ok.

Handpull cask at the Lattice House, King’s Lynn. Tawny brown, clear with little head but a fair bit of foamy lacing. Tannic British hop to the fore with hints of funk and leather. Taste is mostly bitter and sour, very dry and again lots of tannins taking the lead. Far from exciting but certainly a flag bearer for the classic British bitter.

Pours clear copper color with small, but lasting white head. Smell of hops, malts, slight caramel, a bit honey. Medium body with soft carbonation and oily texture. Taste is bitter and slightly herbal. Aroma of malts, caramel, hops, herbs and spices. Grassy with a touch of honey. Long, bitter finish. Overall, nice one. Refreshing and tasty.

Clear medium amber, small frothy off-white head, recedes quickly, fair lacing. Malt aroma, caramel, bit roasted, bit honey, hay. Taste medium sweet and bitter, bit fruity. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, mild dry bittersweet finish, light biscuit, roasty notes, okay.

500ml bottle: BBD 27 Mar 15. Poured at home on 17 Dec 14, into a UK pint sleeve. Pours a clear, deep amber colour with a small head. Nose has a berry fruit and malty aroma, mild hop notes. The taste follows along the same lines, Fruity, with a semi-sweet caramel maltiness. Not had a beer from these guys for a while, I must re-visit them, they brew decent stuff.

Bottle. Copper color, small head. Aroma is mostly malt. Taste is malty, with an iron note. Very bitter and dry. Bit thin and too metallic.
