Bottled. Orange color. Hint of butter and citrus in the aroma. Flowery hopbitter, buttery biscuity flavor. Earthy floral bitter aftertaste. Not bad.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - cloudy amber brown. Thin attractive lacing. Nose - toffee, honey and treacle bread. Taste - more of that rich brown bread. Roast and sourdough. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture. Dry crunchy and tangy finish. Overall - challenging but good.

Bottle at home, thanks to Dave, 21/12/18. Copper pour with a respectable off white covering. Nose is biscuit, straw, light twiggy aroma, dusty fruits. Taste comprises biscuit malt, brown bread, straw, light spice, dusty fruit esters. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so affair.

Bottle at home. A good pour and a fantastic bitter flavour of hops across the whole palate. It really woke up my mouth and slipped down a treat. A classic English best bitter with a bitter hops weighting and all the better for it.

Level 42 Bottleshare. Thanks to Danny. Clear amber beer, small white head. Palate is smooth and semi dry and has reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth malts, mildly sweet and a trace of cream. Bitter dry floral hop. Some dried fruits. Harshly bitter spicy finish. Pretty robust.
