A copper coloured, full-bodied organic best bitter made with organically grown malted barley, and organic hops to give the distinctive fully hopped character. This Best Bitter has a sweet biscuit aroma and pleasing citrus hop flavours from the Sovereign, and First Gold hops. Soil Association accredited, organically grown Chariot malted barley is used to make the mash for this beer.

Amber, clear with a small off white head. Aroma of hops, caramel and some grass notes. Medium bitter with a hop Finnish. Medium-full bodied, ok.

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a coppery orange with a frothy thin beige head. Aroma is malty, light hops, caramel, grain. Taste is light bitter forward, malty, grain, biscuity finish.

7-4-7-5-15 Bottle, seven months before bbd. Pours copper golden, with a big creamy off white head. Aroma is herbal hops with earthy notes, as well as roasted malts with Medium body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is earthy hops with grass and herbal notes, as well as fairly sweet notes of roasted malts with bread, toffee and heather. Balanced and moreish.

26/6/2021. Bottle shared with Dan & ITFCfan at the Euro16 beer share. Bought at the St Peter's Brewery shop. Pours slightly hazy amber coloured with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma of caramel, malt, biscuit, fruit and berries. Medium sweetness, light to moderate bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily watery texture, average carbonation. Nice floral, increasing bitter finish. It's okay.

Bottle from Waitrose. Pours a clear copper colour with a medium sized throthy off-white head. Aromas of caramel, bread and biscuits. Taste has more caramel, bread and biscuits with a crisp earthy hop finish. Medium body with average carbonation and slightly oily mouthfeel. Nice traditional bitter.

Bottle from Waitrose, Holloway Road on 6th March 2021. Pours clear copper with lasting off-white foam and spot lacing. Toffee malt aroma. Caramel malt and leafy hoppiness in-mouth, leading to a bittersweet finish. A smooth yet engaging mouthfeel, with a fair bit of body.

Tight tan head left a spotty cover on a translucent dark amber coloured body. Fruity, cereal & raisin aroma. Medium bodied, smooth & soft over the tongue with a tingle on the back. Berries, tea, light malt, caramel & spicy tastes with a tangy bitter finish.
