Secca, come un torrente d’agosto, enormemente beverina, si fa bere a ingollate, come i fiotti e la corrente di un fiume in piena, e amara, floreale, aromatica, come un prato in fienagione nella radura, e chiara, trasparente, orgogliosamente pulita: com’era l’acqua del Lamber quand’era pura.
Bévera è il carattere beverino di questa birra; bevera è anche il nome delle rogge e dei torrenti che affluiscono al fiume Lambro, nascendo da sorgive nella roccia: ci si beveva.

Old rating from 27-09-16 - On tap at Beer Club House in Florence. Pours a yellow straw colour with a white head. Aromas of cereal, grains, hops & hints of citrus. Tastes of citrus, grains & cereal with a light to medium dry bitter finish.

Lattina. Un arco olfattivo dominato dall'orzo. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera normale e l'esistenza olfattiva è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma resiste abbastanza. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il piano sottostante si presenta velato. Bollicine medio-fini costituiscono anche la forma della frizzantezza, con carbonazione morbida e persistente. Il colore è giallo dorato. L'amaro è pronunciato. La forza gustativa è elevata e la persistenza è buona. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di facile beva. Il finale è felpato, setoso e pulito. Il retrogusto è di decente intensità. Al gusto vengono donati toni di miele, crosta di pane, frutta secca, erbaceo, agrumi e arancia amara.

Keg at beer gallery Milan. A nice translucent bright yellow straw coloured pour with a lasting sticky white head. Aroma is nice fresh cereal grains, fresh noble hop, faint citrus, straw. Flavour is composed of simple clean cereal malts, pils, balanced faint lemon, rind, faint grass. Palate is light and sessionable, crisp finish, highish carbonation. Really well put together.

Handpump at Fass&Cask Rome-Italy. Pours a semi cloudy gold color, super tick white foam. Nose: quite grassy with a mild yeasty and rustic note which the grassy character tents to cover. Mouth: easy as its name suggests, a bit boring although quite solid. Watery pils with a soft bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Craft&Draft. Slightly hazy pale golden colour, white head. Aroma is floral, malty, dry, citrus. Flavour is light sweet, malty, citrus, floral, light grassy, bitter finish. Light bodied. Nice.

Tap @ Craft & Draft, tick. Almost clear golden color, medium frothy white head. Aroma of flowery hops, hint of citrus, bit grainy malt. Soft bitterness, flowery again, bit dry. Quite tasty for a 4.2% golden ale, that really feels like a decent golden ale. Great job.

Draft at Hoppy Days. Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma of grain, light citrus and grassy hops. Flavour is light sweet and light to moderate bitter. Light bodied with moderate carbonation.

Draft @ ML Fontainas. Dorée, col blanc épais. Arôme offre de belles notes fruitées oscillant sur un citronné très subtil. Note fleuri également présente. Palais est très léger avec un parfumé des houblons qui accompagne chaque gorgée et rappelle une essence de thé vert, note noble houblonnée pour un amérisant modéré tout comme le fruité qui reste essentiellement centré sur un citronné. Malt reste de base avec un côté pils. Fini est assez sec au niveau du houblonnage.

(Draught at Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels, 23 Oct 2013) Golden colour with dense, white head. Malty, fruity nose with bready malt, citrus, peaches and grassy hops. Malty, fruity taste with notes of bread, citrus, tropical fruit, grainy malt and a fresh grassy, citric bitterness in a dry finish. Medium body, quite dry. Fresh and tasty. Nice one.

Keg at Moeder Lambic, Fontainas, 29/09/13. Hazed golden amber with a mahoosive frothy off white head. Nose is toasty malts citrus, light grapefruit, hint of soap, lemon rind, grass. Taste comprises lemon zest, light citrus, toasted malt, grassy, light hop profile. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, crisp finale. Decent GB affair.
