bottle@Pater’s Vaetje: deep brown with a creamy head, tasted like roasted malts, chocolate, raisins, coffee with a distinct aftertaste that comes across like a combination of overripe strawberries and malt & chocolate, has a bitter undertone

Bottle. Almost black with a nice, creamy tan head. Good aroma of roasted malt, syrup, dried fruit, toffee, some wood and chocolate. The taste was rather sweet but very pleasant. Creamy mouth feel with a good aftertaste.

Bottle. Creamy lightbrown excellent fully lasting head. Dark red amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Plumb notes. Moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Nutty and woody notes. Creamy palate. Strange but nice blende between stout and dark BSA.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Rich dark beer but doesn’t have a thick palate. Not bitter. Rich malty finish. Easy drinking.

Pour is a dark brown with a huge tan head. Aroma has some chocolate and roasted malt. Flavor at first is very bitter but later redeames itself with some heavily roasted malt and leaves a nice dark chocolate on the tounge. Did not look like much of a stout at first but this won me over in the end.

8.2% bottle. clear red-brown, large smooth light brown head. aroma of dark caramel, nuts, figs, raisins, very faint alc. nice dark fruity aroma, some caramel. flavor of raisins, caramel, dark fruits, alc. not directly present but clearly tasted as a bitter background. A bit unpleasant. Stout??? Definetly redefining the style as i knew it.

(bottle, 33cl, 8.2% abv) Slightly hazy, brown colour with a ruby shine and a giant tanned foamy head. Yeasty, roasty malty aroma with fruity accents of dark berries and prunes, accompanied by notes chocolate and leather. Moderately sweet and roasty bitter flavour, almost full bodied with a moderate carbonation. Roasty malty taste with chocolate, liquorice and now calmer fruity notes; roasty bitter and chocolatey finish with delicately fruity notes. The fruit-character is too obvious imo. 31.X.10
