Frisk.

Draft at King William IV. End of the barrel so possibly not at it’s best. Pours cloudy straw golden with a thick white head. Strange aroma of butter, blancmange, fruit and some other aspects that I can’t put my figure on. Flavour is light sweet and bitter. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at King Willliam IV, Leyton. It was the end of the barrel so I’m sure this beer was not as good as it should have been. The aroma was very hoppy with big floral grassy notes. The flavour is bitter, grassy with a lovely lingering bitter aftertaste. It’s a shame I didn’t taste the start of the barrel rather than the end.

Tap at William IV (Magic Rock takeover) 10/12/12. Lightly hazed mid golden with a thin off white head. Good lacing follows. Nose is pine, hops, mango, light piss. Tastes of bitter hops, pine, sweet sugars, mango, bitter grapefruit, orange pith, mega piney! Medium bodied with soft carbonation leading to a bitter finish. Excellent stuff!

On tap @ Kick. Hazy yellow golden body with a fine white head. Strong aroma of tropical fruit with some lemon and grass. Flavor is light malty, strong tropical fruit, lemon, grapefruit, zest from citric fruit, grass and nice bitterness. Medium body and a nice bitter aftertaste with fruit. Not really complex but damn refreshing. Pure summer in a pint.
