This mahogany red beer is a beautiful marriage of malts and hops. Elegantly balanced, notes of caramel, toffee, and toasted grains are complemented by bright, citrusy and tropical American hop character with a smooth finish.

Kicsi, tartós hab, barna szín. Intenzív citrusos, déligyümölcsös illatok, pici gyantával. Enyhén gyantás, citrusos ízek. Közepesen testes, markánsan keserű, erősen szénsavas. Sok a szénsav, egyébként nem rossz.

Can from Beer52. Deep amber with a thick cream head and a middling fizz. Pine aroma with some grapefruit. On tasting there’s less pine, and citrus comes to the fore- lemon and maybe some clementine, although the pine is still there. There’s a hint of toast and caramel in the background and a clean finish. Although it’s light-bodied, it’s got a nice frothy feel in the mouth and tastes fresh and lively throughout. It’s pleasant and goes down well; I enjoyed it.

Tap at the Birmingham Beer Bash, 2016. Poured a slightly hazy medium brown colour with a thin white head. The aroma is doughy biscuit yeast with some metallic hop notes. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light watery metallic hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation.

On tap at the brewery Bermondsey. Mid brown colour lasting beige head. It’s a malty beer slightly creamy. Over carbonated. Ok. Malty but some subtlety. It’s got a little hop on the finish. fine.

330ml can at Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury on 14th June 2016. Slight haze to my red/brown pour, the head a huge beige affair that hung around. Malty front in both the nose and taste: I always seem to find Rye flavours in American Reds and this was no different, no idea if any is used in the brew? Mild citrus leanings within the maltiness and overall a decent beer.

Can. Turner’s, Sheffield. Hazy, copper colour. Thin, messy, clingy, light tan head. Nice looker. Aroma of toffee. Pine needle. Candied orange. Notes of earthy, grape pip hop. Taste has some fruity sweetness. Light, hop spice bitter. Mouthfeel is a little thin. A bit too fizzy. Finish lets it down though, being watery bitter, and earthy and dry on the close.
