Barrel-aged + Sour Berries + Wild Yeast
Through autumn we forage the hedgerows around the brewery that are heavy with berries. Every year we will bring out Redwood, an annual release celebrating the previous years hedgerow vintage.
Aged for almost a year in some second use Modus Operandi, Burgundy red wine and Scotch Whisky barrels to produce a rich, rounded, tart beer that is intriguing and tasty.
This year we believe it's our best aged with copious amounts of Sloes, Blackberries, Raspberries, Mulberrys, Damsons, Plums, Gooseberries, and Elderberries. Need we say more?

Bottle shared in Hackney - team effort. Pours hay amber-red with a frothy, off-white head. Nice tart berries in the aroma, leather, funk, cherries. Light sweet flavour with nice acetic bite, leathery berries, sweat, salt. Medium bodied with fine, spritzy carbonation. Quenching finish, more tart and leathery berries, acetic twang, some vinegar. Great stuff.

Bottle at LKS. It pours clear deep red with a small white head. The aroma is fresh, sweet, juicy, musty, dried fruits, toffee, fruit cake, light spice and clove. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter, tart, juicy, sour, vinous, malt vinegar, sherbet, red berry, berry skin, earth, leather, black tea and tannin with a drying finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Rather enjoyable.

Bodney Bier Huis bottleshare. Thanks to the team. Hazy deep reddish amber beer, small pale pinky peach head. Palate is airy and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Tart berries and a little lemony citrus. Malts are thin and almost irrelevant. Tart slightly sour red/brown finish. Drinkable.
