Bottle: Poured a brown with red hint, the head was thin and tan. Aroma is sweet and sticky fruit, caramel malts with some wine like hints of alcohol. Bold sweet malts, dark fruits, toffee, leafy, and soft alcohol burn.

33cl Bottle from ABS Drinks Winksele. Deep dark reddish brown colour, off-white head. Aroma of plenty of star anise, Dutch liquorice, dark fruits, quite sweet syrupy and malty. Flavour is quite sweet, star anise, alcohol, sweet malts, molasses, light spicy bitter finish with some alcohol heat. Medium-bodied. Too sweet imho.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a murky brownish with loads of floaties and a creamy beige head. Aroma of dark, dried fruit, somewhat earthy and oxidized - very Belgian! Rich, sweet body, again figs and dates and mold - quite rustic. Some late roast and hops. Quite messy but still strangely enjoyable. 040413

Bottle @ Willems, Grobbendonk. Pours dark ruby amber with a settling creamy head and lacings. The beer has lots of dark fruit, caramel, syrup, esters and a touch of alcohol and metal. Very smooth, soft and full bodied. Warmth. Winter Sipper . .

Bottle from Beer Planet, Brussels
Dark brown color with some sediment and generous compact head. Simple aroma, some roasted malt and dark caramel. The mouthfeel is affected by the high carbonation, there is some flavor of chocolate and roasted malt, and too much liquorice for a Belgian beer; some alcohol feeling in the end.
Average drink.
