Hier freut sich der Malzliebhaber genauso wie der Hopfenfan. Erdig- körnige Malznoten gepaart mit frischen, leicht zitrusartigen Aromen, die sich beide gegen Ende hin steigern. Ein schöner Körper in opalisierendem Kleid. Überraschend erfrischend für ein Kellerbier und bereits vier Mal beim European Beer Star ausgezeichnet.

On tap at Foersters Feine Biere, Berlin. pours cloudy golden orange with medium white head. Malty, sweetish, bit grainy, sweetish with light bitterness in finish. Light to medium bodied. Good one.

30cl at Kundmuller pours a muddy straw gold with plenty of frothy, white head. Nose has straw, perfume, honey, biscuit dough, hints of lemon. Flavor is nice, malty and gristy, biscuit, flour, honey, straw, hay, perfume. Creamy finish. Very strong within the style.

500ml swing-top bottle kindly shared by djoeye. A misty golden body, filmy layer, clingy lacing. Doughy nose. Malt-fruity flavours, doughy and dry. Prolonged ending. Clean in the mouth. Just alright. (Shared with Finn and djoeye, Thanxbeeringparty at PivotekaH7, Tromsø 23.11.2017).

500 ml bottle. Cloudy yellow colour, decent head. Citrus fruits and floral notes, grain, yeast, some banana and metallic notes. Hoppy bitterness. Soft carbonated, light bodied. Smooth and palatable. Easy drinking and refreshing Zwickel. A Franconian Zwickel never disappoints.

Ordentlich im Glas, stabiler Schaum. In der Nase Heu, Maische. Im Trunk ähnlich. Mir geschmacklich zu sehr Helles und zu wenig malzig. Hinten bitter.

Hazy golden with little white head. Aroma is artificial apple, banana, some sweets. Also green stuff. Taste is candy sweetness and some citrussy sourness. Quite foamy mouthfeel, medium body, ok I guess.

Tap at Taphouse Munich. This beer is good, but not in a way that I would usually find a beer good. Mostly malty, a bit of hops, but juicy and with a rather heavy body. Texture reminds me if bubbly syrup, bit that doesn’t feed over to the taste or aroma, that’s good.

Bottle. Plops majestically and pours nearly clear golden with stable white head. Clear aroma of hops and yeast, with notes of malt and mild touches of citrus. Sweetish flavour of yeast and malt, with notes of hops. Estery and bitterish aftertaste. Creamy mouthfeel. A decent Kellerbier, and a reasonable beer as such.
