Molenbier was one of the first beers ever made by our brew-master Menno Olivier. Although the recipe was tweaked over time it still is the same light sweet, medium bitter yet rather hoppy beer as it was intended to be.

Bottle. Dark ruby, light haze, offwhite cream. Berries, light leathery wooden nose. Citric hoppy entry. Goes from berries, orangepeel over tobacco, wood and spices to a very dry hoppy finish. Fullbodied, dry mouthfeel. Long fruitcaramel aftertaste. Very pleasant.

pours clear amber, big white foam . smell is pretty .. unique.. sweet, faded hops ( bottle is over a year old , so that makes sence ) , combined with bread( dough ) , orange ( much orange ) taste : damn thats to much carbo ! WAY to much carbo ! intresting amberish-hoppy-taste. nice one, but imma have to give this a lower rate cause its almost undrinkably carbonated. whyyyyyyyyyyyyy?????

Tap @ de Molen. Hazy amber to copper color, medium head. Aroma of some caramel malt, toasty, grassy hop, bit spicy, floral. Medium sweet in taste, only slightly bitter. More belgian feel to it than english. Boring for de Molen. --- Beer merged from original tick of Molenbier on 11 Dec 2012 at 18:36 - Score: 6
