Au programme de cette Taranis : Chinook, Columbus, Magnum et Hub Melon en houblons avec de surcroît houblonnage à cru en Citra et Mosaic, 10 %. Ibu inconnu. Le résultat est une triple IPA solide, avec une amertume saillante sans être agressive et des arômes plaisants bien que manquant d'inspiration et de complexité. Il est notamment dommage que les arômes présents au nez ne se retrouvent pas à la dégustation. Le visuel est sur un blond orangé voilé sans mousse. L'effervescence est peu poussée. Le nez agréable est sur l'orange, ma mangue, la pêche, le pamplemousse le melon, les herbes fraîches et le résineux avec une bonne expression du houblonnage à cru. L'attaque présente un très bon équilibre malt/houblon avec une amertume racée bien accompagnée par une base plus douce. Nous ne sommes alors pas très éloignés des arômes du nez mais ceux-ci s'épurent nettement en seconde bouche pour se centrer sur le pamplemousse, les herbes et le résineux. L'arrière bouche bien qu'un peu plus amère manque de vivacité. Le final, moyennement long permet à l'alcool de se dévoiler un peu. Ce dernier soutenant bien la structure de la bière. On prend plaisir, sans plus.

Can from DeBierkonig, Amsterdam, at home, 24th January 2020. Pours clear and copper in colour, no head. Aroma has pine and pith. Taste is powerful, pine and pithy, candied orange peel, bitter. Pretty good.

0.33 l can from 'Sterk Avondverkoop', canned in November 2019. Almost clear, amber with a thin, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, rather fruity-resiny aroma of mango, orange and some pine. Gently sweet, malty, quite fruity and rather resiny taste of mango, orange jam and pine, followed by a medium long, gently bitter, fairly resiny finish. Full body, smooth and almost creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Lovely classic TIPA, has everything the style demands.

Can. Almost clear gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Smooth and slightly viscous palate, decent superfine carbonation. Smooth malts, semi sweet. Resinous piney and spicy hops. Citrus peel bitterness. A viscous and spicy finish. A simple but drinkable and muscular tipa.

Can shared thanks to sjogro. Almost clear solid golden, with almost white head. Juicy hops, light cheese, soft spruce, sweet malts, light alcohol, creamy grains, papaya, dank cheesy hops. Quite sweet and medium bitter. Over medium bodied. It’s nice but too much for me personally.

Can shared at Maakun’s. Clear pale amber with no head. Sweet malts, dry malts, grainy, grapefruit, grassy, wet nettle, resiny. Sweet, quite bitter. Medium body and soft carbonation.

The God of the thunder. Tap. Golden color. Floral citric aroma and flavor. Malty yet fairly dry. Decent.
