Wittekerke Wit is easy to recognize by the elegant glass it is served in, its sunny colour and creamy foam head. The taste is nicely rounded with a well-defined herbal bitterness. The late famous beer expert Michael Jackson described Wittekerke Wit as creamy, aromatic, with a clean, teasing, perfumed fruitiness and a faintly herbal tartness.

Ordinary and a bit boring witbier. Body is somewhat thin, tastes like the usual, wheaty, fruity and sweetish. Mwoah.

Can. A- Citrus, wheat, spice. A- Pale yellow color, hazy liquid, minimal head. T- Ginger, grapefruit, spice, wheat, cough medicine. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, bland finish. O- This can was right on the line of the best buy date. Not sure if that factored into it much, but this was a very poor Belgian White considering it is supposed to be an authentic Belgian White. It just didn’t resemble the style I am used to at all.

The date on the bottom of the can says \"\"28-09-14.\" I’m assuming that’s the best by date.
I poured this into a mug since it is a witbier.
The appearance has a super nice hazy looking golden yellow color with a nice fluffy white looking one finger head that dies at a nice pace. Some nice clingy semi-thick lacing sticks to the sides of the glass.
The smell had the wheat up front and adding a nice refreshing sort of sweet lemon aspect to it.
The taste was sweet wheat and it brought back the lemon once again in a refreshing sort of way. The aftertaste was basically the same as the initial tastes. There was a nice refreshing lemon sweet finish.
On the palate, it sat at/about a medium with a nice gentle rolling carbonation over the mouth and tongue leading to a decent sessionable quality.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good witbier well worth my time and money. I recommend and would have this again most likely with its respected food.

25cl bottle from Vanuxeem. Quite a pleasant wit with some tingly lemon citrus, a little spice and a slight sour / vinegar aftertaste. Light and refreshing.

330 ml bottle into pint glass, 41010 bottle code. Pours very hazy bright golden straw color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of lemon zest, orange zest, pear, apple, wheat, bread, clove, pepper, coriander, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of malt, spice, and yeast ester notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon zest, pear, apple, wheat, bread, floral, grass, herbal, clove, pepper, coriander, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of lemon zest, pear, apple, wheat, bread, floral, grass, herbal, coriander, light clove, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a very short bit. Good balance and complexity of malt, spice, and yeast ester flavors; with decent robustness and a very dry finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a smooth and crisp mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good witbier. Good balance of yeast, malt, and spice flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Little cloudy (maybe from the glass) pale straw yellow beer, big creamy white head, pretty stable, little adhesive. Aroma: grains, some yeast, bread, little metallic. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: pretty sweet, sugary start, some orange peel, little bitter, no coriander though. Aftertaste: little sourish, sweet and sugary, orange peel, bit of honey, slightly bitter. Very poor excuse for a Belgian wit.

Can @ home, picked up at Wilbur’s Fort Collins. Pours a milky light yellow appearance with a white head. A bit grainy, lemon zesty, refreshing, floral aroma. Light bodied, sweet wheat, a touch watery, minimal hop flavor. Not all that hard to drink and spices aren’t overdone like many Witbiers but this still isn’t all that interesting.
