It's nice to know my reaction to bad medical news is still the same as when I was 20: drink.

12oz bottle into a Corsendonk tulip on 25th May 2016, while on holiday in California. Very dark brown, OK, it’s black, the head a thin wisp and collar. Oats and barley malts rule the nose and taste giving a smooth chocolate and coffee type flavours to the deep body feel. Easy to drink and a very pleasant Oatmeal Stout all round.

Pitch Black Color, Small Tan Head, Does Not Last, Light Lacing. Toasted Oat, Light Chocolate, Coffee Aroma. Taste About The Same: Toasted Malt, Sweet Chocolate, Some Coffee. Body On Lighter Side, Thinner Than It Looks. Good. Worth A Try...

12 ounce bottle from Bottle and Wedge Huntington. Pours a dark brown color with a medium sized fizzy tan head. Fair head retention. Aroma of nuts, oats, chocolate, roasted malts. The taste is roasted malts, chocolate, honey, oats, mild bitter hops. Medium bodied, slight lingering bitterness, decent balance.

Draft @ Sunset Grill. Pint glass shows a nice thick tan head that laced until the black liquid was finished. Aroma is all roasted malt. Flavor is lightly sweet with some coffee bean bitterness, light amount of oat flakes and some sweet chocolate. Mouthfeel is medium leaning on the light side, pretty creamy texture and smooth. Overall, my only complaint is that it isn’t thicker. Could use more oatmeal but still a very easy drinking stout.

12 oz bottle that was part of the Winter 2012 World Market 9 pack, courtesy of my in-laws. The pour is a lightly hazed black brown with a smallish tan head that falls quick. The aroma is tobacco leafy, roast malt, and a touch of light sweet cream. The taste is the soft roast, leafy grass, and finishes with a lightly sweet malt. After taste is the roast, showing a touch of char. As the beer warms, notes of soy and licorice surface, which detracted. The palate is light to medium bodied, soft full carbonation, and the char grass finish.
