3 August 2018. At Brasserie, Bamberg. Cheers to Anke!
Pours hazy dark brown, reddish, with a lasting, small, frothy, tan head; some lacing. Subtle aroma of roasted malt, tobacco, burnt caramel, some dark fruit, faint iron. It tastes light malty sweet, hint of toast, and light roasted bitter, with faint coffee, a bit metallic. Short, toasty, slightly metallic finish, bit caramelly. Light body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Subtle, all too subtle...

Bottle. Dark brown with ruby shades and a thick foamy white head. Aroma of malts, subtle chocolate and light hops. Taste is malts, caramel, some nuts and milk chocolate. Spicy hops show up in the aftertaste. Medium to strong carbonation. Well balanced and easy drinking. Some might say it's a tad bit watery but I consider it just a nice session beer. Good Dunkel.

500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.0%. Beautiful deep reddish brown colour, moderate off-white head. Aroma of malts with some caramel and notes of bakery, fair enough. The malty flavour has some sweetness, but not too much, still with distinct notes of caramel. Moderate hops, as expected from a dunkel. A pleasant dunkel to drink.
