Old rating from 18-06-16 - 330ml bottle brought back from New York City. Pours a reddish brown colour with a beige head. Aromas of caramel, earth & malt. Tastes of caramel, orange peel, biscuit, pine & earth with a aftertaste that is medium malty caramel bitterness.

Pour is a clear copper with a large white head. Aroma is a nice bready malt with a bit of caramel and tobacco. Reminds me of a English ale so far. Flavor is a bt more sweet with a chewy caramel some old hops and a bit of vegetable aftertaste. This started off well but kind of went downhill with the flavor. This is a few months old so maybe more of the hops would show up if drank earlier in the year.

12 oz. bottle purchased at Beer Store, Nashua. Clear Amber color with very fast diminishing head that didn’t leave much in the shaker glass. Aroma is mild toasted grain a weak grassy hops.
The flavor is light toffee with a very mild level of hops coming from herbal or a grassy note. The body and texture are watery thin. This style is rather boring and bland overall, this brew does nothing to change my opinion of the style. I’m fighting back a yawn.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours fairly crystal clear golden copper color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, toast, biscuit, light caramel, floral, grass, and floral/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with well balanced citrus hop and bready malt notes; with decent strength. Taste of grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, toast, biscuit, light caramel, floral, grass, light pine, and floral/toasted earthiness. Fair amount of pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, lemon/orange zest, toast, biscuit, light caramel, and floral/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice balance and robustness of citrus hops and bready malt flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and lightly creamy/sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice amber ale. All around good balance and robustness of citrus hops and bready malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Bottle thanks to Lewis. Pours amber with a nicely proportioned head. The nose has biscuits, cake mixture and a fresh spicy hop. The taste has more of the same. The palate is close to medium bodied with a nice balanced middle and finish. Overall, a good ale.

Copper colour. The aroma is caramel, maybe with a little hop fruitiness. Boring, watery light caramely and barely any bitterness.

Bottle. As this pours into the glass I do a double take and then look again at the bottle. Yep... it definitely says \"Spring Fling Copper Ale.\" I guess you could call it copper, but a really really pale copper... more of an amber. I take a sniff and come across an unconvincing mix of caramel and peppery spice notes, maybe with a little orange peel or something vaguely citrusy. Flavor is OK, but a kind of uninteresting amber ale type mix. Spicy hops up front, a little bit of caramel and biscuit in the midsection and a little bitter tang on the finish. Ho hum. Nothing to write home about here...
