Beer #3 in the endless series of limited edition artist and artisan beers. Gigantic and Three Floyds unleash this true weapon of mass distraction. Citrus and tropical hoppyness lead to fill malt flavour from proper English malt, kilned over Welsh coal. Brewed for those of us that live and die in the Timbers Army and Section 8.

Reviewed from notes.
Bottle to English pint glass.
Appearance: murky dark copper to almost brown with a finger's worth of white foamy head which slid off at a delicate pace to leave some light lace
Aroma: some floral leafy hoppy tones with some earthy hop tones then some orange to citrusy hop tones (somewhat like an American styled way of hopping), hmmmmm, this might be an interesting beer, the malts seem fairly biscuity and bready with a touch of buttery quality (not diacetyl) but actually buttery quality as if they put butter in this
Flavor: seems to blend the prior noted aromas together fairly nice and comes across somewhat clean as far as I can tell; finishes earthy hopped with the citrusy hops and the malts seem a bit cleaner than other EPA's I've had.
Texture: light to medium bodied, some sessionability to this one. fairly smooth along the tongue, bitterness is fairly low
Overall: so it's labeled an English pale ale on here and well, I liked it for me and oddly enough, some American pale ale fans might like this one too.

Notes from October 2012 Bottle from LetsPour. Sweaty bottle, rounded pint glass. Admiring the depraved personas of the ratebeer chatroom while trying to plug in reviews on an otherwise ordinary weekend afternoon. Clouded orange amber, brew. tall, but thin whitewash head. Mild citrus rind; juicy. Leafy green. Faintly buttery. Toasty grain. Taste is toasty grain upfront, followed by very sharp, bittersweet citrus/coriander. Beyond astringent, a wincing, sharp pith. So I corked the bottle & came back to it a few hours later. ... Mellowed, but still lingering. Lots of juicy fruit & bitter lettuce. Not traditionally bitter, but just coming from a different direction. Crispy carbonation. Body is a little itchy. Average alcohol. Finish is dry grain & lingering foliage. Kilned over Welsh Coal - Yeah, totally picked that out. :P

Bottle compliments of Wasatch, thanks John!
Pours a hazy orange gold with heaps of long lasting foam. Lacing is pretty impressive as well.
I get caramel malt, lemon and orange citrus in the smell. The hops also impart a berry like aroma.
Orange, more like a tropical fruity with berries taste and caramel malt sweetness that kicks it into balance overdrive. Malt gets somewhat earthy after more than a few sips but more of a toasted malt flavour.
Light side of medium bodied, excellent carbonation.
So tasty.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Hazy golden color. Dry and lean, the malts are a bit biscuity, bold bitterness with some herbaceous hop character; I may sense a tiny bit of butter in the aroma.
Not bad.

On tap at Brewer’s Republic. Pours a slightly hazy, light orange color, with a medium, frothy, beige head that leaves some good lacing. Nice hop aromatics of citrus and pine, with notes of orange peels, nutmeg, hay, and some light earth. Not too sweet, with a smooth bitterness. Medium body, with a crisp, astringent, and hard palate. This is a nicely done pale ale. Good, subtle malt character, and lovely hop aromatics.
