It’s Old Man Bitter
A mix of citrus and pine that will remind you of the time you went on a vision quest with your Native American cousin and you woke up in a pine grove full of grapefruit trees.
An American-style India Pale Ale with a deep golden-orange color. Bitter and hoppy, with a surprisingly smooth finish.
Modus Hoperandi, an IPA sitting at 6.8% ABV and 65 IBUs.

Can from StarmoreBoss, Sheffield. Clear, amber colour. Thick, lasting, white head. Ripe orange. Toffee. Pine resin. Citrus. Taste is pine cone fresh sweetness. Pine bitterness. Palate is oily, greasy and chewy. Big, pithy, piny bitter finish. Very nice.

Can from whole foods London Piccadilly. It pours clear amber with a decent off-white head. The nose is over-ripe passion fruit, orange peel, fruit syrup, wood, toffee and baked goods. The taste is bitter, pine, toffee, grapefruit, pepper, light resin, alcohol warmth and marmalade with a lingering dry finish. Medium body body and average carbonation. Pretty solid stuff. Enjoyed best straight out of the can.

Slightly darker in color, caramel, citrus, pine, spruce, aroma is very appetizing, good solid hoppy IPA, nothing out of the ordinary here.

On tap at the Black Heart, Camden Town, London on 23rd February 2014. Copper with diminishing off-white foam. Gorgeous tangerine and grapefruit aroma with touch of lemongrass. Rich grapefruit, tangerine and bitter peel in-mouth, and a bitter, fruity citric finish. Plenty of body and a zingy mouthfeel. A superb pint! Values: 9/4/8/4/17. Re-Rating: On tap at the Lexington, London on 4th January 2015. Copper with thin off-white lacing foam.. Tangerine citrus hops in aroma. Rich citrus in-mouth - tangerine, grapefruit and fine herbiness. Herby citrus finish. Zingy mouthfeel and lightish body.

Boks 0,355l fra Systembolaget Kiruna. Drukket hjemme 25 Mai 13. Mørk gyldenbrun. Middels høyt skum som varer en stund. Litt lacing. Aroma av plommer & annen frukt. Smaken det samme. Blir fort tørr & bitter med en lang ettersmak.

6.8% Great looking honeyed copper color with a thick fluffy off-white head that leaves behind fantastic lacing clinging to the glass. Wonderful herbal, floral hop bouquet with a sort of minty juicy fruit vibe, some pine & resin with even hints of biscuit from the malts getting through good stuff. The taste is much more puckeringly bitter pine, a bit earthy, hint of mint & herbal flavors plus a bit of resiny dankness. You also get some malt influence in the form of biscuit which is nice. The body is light to medium. Overall an exceptionally solid IPA & quite widely available in Japan at decent prices.
