A lovely orange/amber body topped by a moderate soft white head. Initial taste is rye with punchy grapefruit hops, orange rind, rich bready malt and a hint of pepper and sweetness. The hops become more astringent deeper into the taste. Mouth feel is rich and smooth. Powerhouse IIPA

Amber colour with golden highlights. Getting hazier by pour. The creamy, frothy head is warm light-beige with great retention, leaving some creamy lacing. Caramel aromas with some mild banana wheat notes and spicy notes. I kind of get a diacetyl feel from the nose and even in the taste. Not really what I was expecting from this one. The hops are good in flavours helping away this popcorn feel that I am no longer liking in beers. They create a nice bitterness with its grassiness, and a dryness that lingers. Not bad, but not what I was expecting, as wish more spiciness from the rye and less buttering.

Celle-ci me semble un peu terne et il n’y a pas de date d’embouteillage... L’effervescence est très faible et le 90 IBU n’est pas perceptible. On goûte bien le seigle et c’est bien malté. Appréciation: mitigée.

473mL can, pours a cloudy orange with a medium white head. Aroma is quite spicy, with rye, earthy hops, and bready malt. Flavour is very earthy, with spicy rye, bready malt, and faded earthy hops. Seems a bit old, and heavily dominated by the earthy notes. Okay.

Growler: Poured a clear amber color ale with a nice large foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of citrusy and bitter hops notes is enjoyable. Taste is mostly dominated by citrusy bitter and dry hops with some light spicy rye notes and some dry caramel malt also noticeable. Body is about average withy good carbonation. Enjoyable even though I was try to cut back on the bitter finale.

Cask with grapefruit zest at the Ottawa Beerfest as Imperial Zesty Guy. A milky looking orange-copper cask color. The nose is citrus, grapefruit and light pine IPA goodness. Big grapefruit zest, solid malt backbone, Â citrus & pine in a silky smooth velvety cask body. Good stuff.

A hazed golden DIPA with a thin white head. In aroma, biscuit malt with grassy piney floral hops, citrus pulp, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity biscuit malt with tropical fruits, piney hops, light alcohol, nice. On tap at BTP/Stock Pot tap take over, April 2014.
