Nearly clear red amber, thick offwhite froth. Piney, fruity aroma, caramel. Malty, fruity flavour. Citrus peel, resin. Caramely, hoppy with solid alc warmth. Nice old school DIPA.

Bottle (couldn't read date on bottom of bottle). Clear reddish amber with a near white head. 4 Aroma is clean and punchy with grapefruit and pepper over restrained toffee and breadcrust. No more than medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Sweet but not hugely so. Almost lush caramel, mere hints of dried fruit (peach, mango). Spicy and some citrusy hops come though towards the fairly bitter finish. Pleasant, clean. Doesn't over-deliver for its strength. The best thing about it is how it delivers rich malt without all that much sweetness so that the bitterness doesn't have to fight through.

12 ounce bottle. Hazy copper red color. Large rocky beige head. Rich roasted malt nose. Notes of caramel and brown sugar. Flavor follows nose. Smooth and malty with a roasted, nutty malt flavor. Alcohol is well hidden. Chewy, malty finish. Earthy notes.

Draught @ Taproom No 307. Cloudy copper red with sizable creamy beige head, citrus aroma, low carbonation, bitter malty taste with alcohol undertones, smooth body, long bitter finish. The alcohol bite is quite pronounced.

Shared 12 oz. bottle. Amber pour with a light beige head. Aroma of citrus and caramel. Taste is citrus, caramel, pine. It’s good, but not as good as some of the other AleSmith IPAs.
