Bottle shared @ weekly tasting. Hazy yellow color, medium sized white head. Smell and taste are moderately sourish, sourish fruits. Can’t really describe it better. Quite pleasant.

Cloudy orange, smooth white head. aroma is leather, dry old hops, gueuze tartness. flavor is tart, sour beer, old hops, bretty fruity note.

75 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is fruity. Dry and bitter, Wooden and herbal. Smooth fruity and spiced. Ends dry and bitter finish.

smells sour , intense, even some alcohol. tastes very dry, slightly sour. overall very mediocer geuze to me .

375 ml. bottle corked and caged – split with Kraddel – opened this one like usually, twisting the cork a bit, letting it release its pressure… - the cork still hit the ceiling – wow – that is a first timer for me – not a gusher – hazy golden, creamy white head – smell is gives of the impression of characteristic Boon funk to me but I might be imagining things, knowing who made this , who knows? Musty, very heavy on the wheat, light herbs, touch old lemon – taste is like – how would I describe it – very heavy wheat; feels like they added worth or meertse to this or something, almost chewing, but base stuff, Boon funk, bitter herbs, old lemons, some sweet apples, mellow citus, barn – as mentioned previously the body is hazy as hell – drinkable, enjoyable but that added worth or meertse impression – I enjoy it because I really dig the style but I usually rate real geuze higher than this. The name does not come from that De Koninck brewery as I initially mistakenly thought but rather a completely different brewery.

Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of a bit sweeter classic gueuze. Taste is light to medium sweet and medium sour with a dry finish. Body is light to medium, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

Bottle, 375ml, corked. From trade with jbrus. It pours an unclear, orange-golden body topped by an off-white head. Bready notes in the aroma, with citrus peel, barnyard and something almost sweetish in the back. The flavor is quite bready, although with the expected gueze-sourness and funk. Barnyard and lemon juice. Tart, medium bodied and pleasantly carbonated. A rather light weight geuze, but it drinks easy and doesn’t taste bad at all. 120302

bottle. Deep golden colour with an off-white head. Aroma is sourness, acid, funk. flavour is sourness, acid, earth, funk. Nice/OK beer.

2010 Bottle at home. It pours cloudy golden yellow, with a quickly dissipating off-white head. The nose is farmyard, damp wood, tart lemon, green apple, grape skin, sherbet and spicy yeast. The taste is lemon, grapefruit pith, orange, sherbet, farmyard, restrained sourness, light wood and white grape skin, with a smooth, lightly tart finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Not the most complex (or sour) gueuze, but smooth and approachable.
