Bottle from Nissa, Hebden Bridge. Golden, no head. Has a light carbonation but feels more active than this in the palate. Its sweet taste (and texture to an extent) makes it feel somewhere between a cider and a white wine, with apples certainly involved here. Quite sour in its finish though.

Bottle at home. Pours clear dark golden with a bubbly off white head. Aroma of faro like sweetness, some fruitiness, candy and light mouldy and dusty notes. Flavour is over moderate sweet and moderate acidic. Light medium bodied with light carbonation.

A lambic for starters. It has some sourness and tardiness, but not nearly as much as a real lambic beer. This is boring and watery, especially if you like the real thing.

Bottled in 2012. 375ml Bottle from Saveur Biere in April 2014. Fresh Lambick (only two years ago). Chyba jedno ze slabszych guze jakie degustowalem. Niby tradycyjne, korkowane, a etykieta nawiazuje do tradycji.

37.5 cl bottle from ABC Leuven. Rather decent gueuze-like nose, horse blanket, lemon rest, leather, dust. Not big time, but definitely it’s the main element. A touch of caramel malt beneath. Orange-gold, clear, with a high, fine head. Quite sweet, but with a nice sour tang as well, candi / brown sugar, some leather. Lambic character still there but a bit muted by the sweetness. Lemon, green apple, caramel. Not great, but possibly the best sweetened gueuze I can remember drinking. Soft but persistent carbonation. Decent. Refreshing.

Bottle split at JF’s, cheers James, 17/08/13. Lightly hazed golden with a thin off white swirl and edgeing. Nose is lemon rind, damp wood, touch musty, sugars, light oxidised notes. Taste is soured citric fruits, lemon rind, wood, earthy, light funk. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finish. Adequate gueze, light sour notes, could do with a bit more oomph on the tarteometer!
