Uclear yellow gold with creamy white head. Aroma is dirty, sour, fruity, sweet & of alcohol. Reminds me of cheap tequila. Aroma is straight up like vomit. Light gueze feel... Anyway still for beginners I believe!

Golden slightly clowdy coloured ale, with a sour hop nose and a sharp fruity sourness.

Draught, La Becassse, Brussels. Not as assertive or sour as Cantillon or Mort Subite. Tall, thick white head and a well carbonated beer. Aroma has some barnyard sourness. Flavor is lightly sweetened, almost like a faro, with a sour finish. An approachable gueuze.

Bottle: Poured a amber color with soft white head. Sweet fruit aroma. Sour fruit almost wine like flavor with a vippy tingly tongue finish.

Bottled(250ml). -Slight hazy golden coloured, small off-white head, acidic nose. Strong and sharp sour aroma with slight lemon and apple notes. Tastes more like cider than a beer. Long sour finish. Too sour for me.

Wow
33cL bottle from JacobLovenlund attempted to share with Olivier on 8/26/06.
Medium-haziness throughout a peachy-brass colored body with an immediately fizzling mess of white bubbles that leaves no ring, no lacing. At least it’s not dark in color and filtered, like the other commercial gueuzes.
Mystifying aroma is more reminiscent of spoiled apple juice than anything. Some oily, old, rotting cheese, heavy vegetal qualities and a streak of cider that makes you wonder if this has apples in it! Lightly tart, mushy peach notes and a definite lactic dryness are about the only thing remotely close to lambic here. Oh, and there is a smidgeon of wheat dryness. Strong aroma, though, and as it warms it seems slightly acetic. And voilà; it comes to me: apple cider vinegar. Precisely!
Flavor is putrid, vile, acetic and not something I’d like to expound upon for any great length of time. Suffice to say, this has gone horribly bad, if it ever was indeed "good". Strong lactobacillus influence makes you think there might be something like lambic in here, but it’s certainly not in balance. Tart, sharp, rancid apples and peaches. Heavily oily texture, with some wateriness on the end, though not the completely-washed-out mouthfeel of Belle-vue, Chapeau, et al. It is quite unfiltered with some wheat softness. So in some sense, it’s superior to the amber ales passing themselves off as lambic, but in another sense, this dosent ever resemble ale, let alone lambic.
And here’s the kicker, this is best before June 24th 2006 and has been sitting in my fridge for 3 months. No excuse.

Bottled. Sparkling, golden beer with a small off-white head. Lightly sour aroma with hints of green apples. The flavor has some sourness too, and some fruityness. Decent, lightly astringent body. Quaffable, but definately not hard-core. (060715)

First ratingInitial Rating Date: 1/27/2006Sort of acidic taste, but not very much. Still pretty sweet, so could be called "sweet and sour" ;) Tried it on bottle at "Pannrummet Kök & Bar" on January 27. Dark yellow in color, sweet and acidic scent.7/4/6/3/13=3.3Rerate33 cl bottle thanks to Ingo! Sampled on January 4, 2013. BB 16/09/10.Clear golden color, small white head. Sweet, wort, acidic scent. Wort, sugary, stale apple juice, "fadd" taste. Medium mouthfeel, low bitterness.Couldn’t even finish my glass with about a third bottle poured, not for me.4/3/3/3/6=1.9
