On tap at the brewery. Pours near black with a slight dark brown head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of bread with a bit of chocolate and bourbon supporting. Flavor has a nice combination of bread and chocolate with an outstanding growing bourbon note.

2021 Bourbon. Dark brown. Not much head on this pour. Dark brown head. Big rich bourbon and dark sugar nose. Raisin, sticky toffee pudding, dark agave syrup, deep fruits. Fuuuuck. Big body, sweet af but not sticky or cloying, just exceptional richness on the malts and barrel. Layers of fruits and sugars, like snowy December in a glass.

500ml bottle at share. Dark, ruddy brown pour, small beige head. Deep, rich toasted malts first in the aroma, woody, boozy elements after. Taste is more of the rich, roasty malts, bourbon flavors accompanied with boozy accents and a nice warmth. Sumptuous.

Bottle: Poured a deep brown color ale with a large brown foamy head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt notes, chocolate malt with some nice bourbon notes. Taste is also a mix of caramelized malt notes with some chocolate notes and bourbon and vanilla notes. Body is pretty full with good carbonation. Very solid BA beer.

2022-01-21, bottle at Weathered 2022, Vancouver, vintage 2021, 8-4-8-4-17=41
Black colour. Brown head. Aroma of chocolate and dark malts. Full bodied, moderately sweet, dark chocolate, a bit salty, tar, with mild spirit, and light Bourbon.
More balanced than the Deadfall side-to-side, but less interesting.

Pitch black colour. Good dark malt base, dark sugar. Moderate sweetness, it has nice alcohol warmth, bourbon.
