Bottle at home, massive gusher, absolutely exploded all over the kitchen. Love it when I can barely try anything from an expensive bottle. Pours murky orange, nose is huge brett funk, grape, oak, caramel, taste is similar, chewy, sweet, burnt toffee. Would have been nice to have the whole bottle..

A gusher and an oozer. I can taste the mustard seed and the wood, which gives it some tartness and bitterness. Weird beer

22nd February 2015 Mofo gushy bastard! Sort this shit out Alvinne! Murky brown beer, fluffy pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and very slightly viscous. Sweetish malts and spice to start. A winey fruity tangy mid. More dry spice. Candy sweets and light touches of gueuzey wet wood and floralness. Airy dry finish. Certainly tasty if a little muddled 3.3.

This old beer (at least 9 years old) is still one gushy mutha. Just crack the lid in the sink and marvel how it hisses. When the drama is over, give it ten minutes, it pours a mildly hazy marmalade colour with plenty of debris in suspension. Small pale cream colour head. Smooth soft palate. Nice mix of slightly ripe citrus and a soft vanilla oak sweetness. Smooth finish, pretty drinkable in its advanced years.

Draft at Churchkey. Hazy amber color, white head. Nice aroma of fruity toasted caramel. Taste has jammy fruit on biscuits. Very tasty.

Thnx to Beerlover_ben . Pours unclear blonde, full of flakes ( even without sediment ) . Huge white head . Smell is a bit sweet , but does not give away to much . Taste is mostly sweet , malty , grainy , some oak . Very sharp carbo , as well as a sharp taste . Nice complexity , but the aftertaste fades fast . Earlier Rating: 4/30/2013 Total Score: 3.3sampled at alvinne, a few days before they released it at ZBF . smell is sweet, bread, malt, pours brown, no foam very low carbo, buttery, sweet, vanilla a bit. way to sweet in a weird way ( that wine, i guess) for me .

The Monbazillac version in this series of Melchior experiments. Creamy head, deep hazy copper colour like the others; aroma of honey, candi sugar, peach, pepper, sweet white wine, wood, grapes, brandy, complex taste with dried fruits, sweetish, honeyish and yeasty, caramel malt base, long vinous finish with tannins, wine, warming brandy-like alcohol and floral hops. My favorite of these wood-aged Melchiors.

On tap @ Haandfest 2013. This is a cloudy wood golden beer with a medium sized heavy lacing off-white head that sticks around for a while. It smells of ripe zesty citrus fruits, malts and a little little bit of forest. Not bad, just not all that impressive for my nose. It has a way to sweet flavor imo. Feels unbalanced - almost like a cloying Faro. White sugar syrup and wood. Ripe old bananas in the background but that's not exactly helping. Almond essence also detected in the aftertaste. This was not a favorite. Actually a bit of a letdown as I had heard some good things about this. 25.05.2013
