750 ml bottle and cask at FdB 2014. Almost opaque, darkest brown colour with small, creamy, diminishing beige head. Chocolately, dark malty aroma, some roast, coffee notes. chocolate cookie. Taste is slightly sweet, chocolately dark malty, decently roasty, a hoppy lemon touch lends some airiness; a warming touch of alcohol in the finish. Soft, silk & smooth palate.

Cask gravity at Pig’s Ear 2014. It pours near opaque darkest brown with a small beige head. The nose is rich, sweet molasses, earth, cocoa, salted liquorice, dried berry and syrup. The taste is bitter-sweet, earthy, liquorice, treacle, salted caramel, tar, burnt wood, chewy malt and booze. Fullish body and lowish carbonation. Rich, decadent stuff. Punchy, but not overly drinkable from this dispense method.

Eksklusiv flaske med voksforsegling og håndknyttet etikett. Takk til Odd Gunnar, og generøst delt med oss heldige på Sigmunds hytte april-14: upåklagelig utseende med høflig skum. Ideel serveringstemperatur gjør denne so smooth. Deilig fylde og myk munnfølelse. En elegant engelsk gentleman.

Shared 750 ml waxed bottle at local tasting. Black colour, low tan head. Dryish aroma of roasted malts, coffee and woodwork, a hint of cigar tobacco.
Surprisingly smooth flavour and mouthfeel, very pleasant to drink. Mild roasty notes, mild coffee and liquorice, hints of dark chocolate.
