Bottle. Dark brown beer. Aroma of coffee, with a mild note of smoke. Taste is mostly round coffee, with some smooth vanilla. Gritty mouthfeel. Could use more body, but quite a good beer.

330ml bottle from Bierkompass

Vertical with Beer Geek Brunch Weasel - Pours pitch black with a foamy head. Aroma of coffee beans, cocoa, hints of roastiness, vanilla and milk chocolate. Taste is watery and sweetish with notes of cocoa beans, hints of coffee, milk chocolate and vanilla. Finish is mild and weak bodied with hints of cocoa beans and coffee. Interesting, but nowhere near the real thing.

8th October 2014
Almost opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is airy and semi dry, mild fine carbonation. Mild but tangy dark malts. Good cocoa drinking chocolate powder. Light finish brings a touch of coffee. Okay.

Bottle, 11C. Dark brown with a bare coat of tan head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, licorice. Fairly thin, lowish carbonation. Barely sweet with coffee and dark chocolate, firm roasted/ burnt malt and barley. Moderate bitterness with some ash. Mainly about coffee; impressive in how manages to get an appropriate degree of intensity for the body.

Bottle from Mikkeller Webshop. Pitch black body, with a big, creamy, stable, tan head. Nice, full aroma of coffee, bitter chocolate, smoky wood, dark fruits, some toffee. Taste with about the same aromas, but not as full, pretty watery. Mouthfeel is light, slick, with a medium carbonation and it finishes bitter, roasty, dry, with coffee and wood notes. Nice idea, a session Stout, but overall a bit too thin for my liking. On the other hand it is pretty refreshing despite the robust Stout aromas. But its "bigger brothers" Beer Geek Brunch Weasel and Beer Geek Breakfast are much, much better in my opinion!

Bitter malziger Antrunk, leichte Kaffeenoten. Im Mittelteil ist die Bitterkeit dominierend, die Malzigkeit gering. Der vorhandene Hopfen ist vernachlässigbar. Herb bitter im Nachgang, in dem spät auch wieder der Kaffee deutlicher hervorkommt. 8/8/9/9/11/8
