Limoncello (Lemon Cello) IPA

Tap at bar animal. Tart notes, light barn and citric hop aroma. Light hazy golden, offwhite haze. Dry lactic on entry, lemons, lemongrass, lemonpeel aromatics, a hint salt on the exit. nicely balanced. Dry medium light body, just enough chewiness. Fresh, dangerously moreish - Much better than Limoncello :)

330ml bottle from Grumpy Goat, Reading. Unclear yellow without a nice thin head. Aroma is sweet, malty, citrus and hoppy. Flavour is hops and lemon sourness. Sharp lemon and citrus yummyness.

Keg @ Euston Tap. Amber, hazy, white head which dissipates quickly. Grassy and fruity hop aroma, fainter than I would have imagined but enticing nonetheless. Tart taste with a lingering bitter/sour finish. An incredible refresher. Maybe not completely to my personal taste but the integrity of its composition cannot be gainsaid.

Taster at Euston tap. Aroma is punchy sharp lemon. Yellow straw colour with a lasting dense white head. Flavour is sharp lemon juice, some citric acid. Some doughy malts. Medium sweet sticky palate but nicely carbonated. Lingering citrus. Really tasty.

Botella de 33 cl del rincón de la cerveza 07-03-2014 en el momento. Color ámbar amarillento turbio con poca espuma blanca poco persistente. Aromas cítricos intensos. Sabores cítricos, pomelo, limón, también bastante intensos y dominantes acabando con amargo ligero que persiste en boca durante unos minutos. Cuerpo medio - fuerte con 9.1 vol que se notan en todo momento. Un gran contraste de cítricos y ligeros amargos, muy muy peculiar. Casi un zumo de limones y pomelos con sus cascaras. Interesante y bastante buena.

tap@Mikkeller Bar Siren tap takeover - fuzzy golden to amber pour with big puffy white head. Zesty fruity prominent lemon aroma and taste, citrus hoppy, interesting mix of sour and sweet fruity notes, well masked abv, fascinating and enjoyable brew this.

Draft at ChurchKey. Poured a dark golden yellow with a medium sized, slightly off-white head. Aroma was heavy notes of lemon, tart notes. Citrus, bitter like grapefruit. Lemon dominates this one, with plenty of tropical citrus to follow it up. Zesty. Touch tartness.

Cloudy orange with a big white head. Aroma of herbal sorachi ace, with bright lime-like citra notes. Sweet, sour and mild bitter flavour of citrus, hay and herbs. An afterthought is that I?m glad this was only "slightly" sour mashed, or my teeth might have been in trouble! The sour IPA lands somewhere between revolutionary and just plain weird

0.33l bottle from Cask Pub & Kitchen enjoyed at our hotel room in Bayswater. Quite cloudy in the glass this, deep dark golden or is it orange looking forward with a nice but small quickly fading and islandy off-white top. Damn, it really smells like lemons this. Yellow lemon zest with a lovely super fresh fruity thing as well. A bit like nosing a organic lemon in many ways. Highly recommended. The lemon zest most definitely continues in the taste. Like lemonade in many ways. Light sugary lemonade just much better. It has a gentle oily mouthfeel and a just below average carbonation level. Hoppy grassy and a little bit of sour white currants, but I he lemon sourness is just running the show completely here. Lots of flavor, but to be honest I don't think I could drink much more than this bottle. Perhaps a bit to sour-ish and lemon infused for my palate, but it's a super interesting one. Just have to comment a bit more on the looks here. Emptying the bottle it gives away some of the largest and biggest grey floaters I've ever seen. Turning the beer into a total mess of particles and floaters. 08.11.2013
