Bottle from the brewery. Poured a hazy medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is rich fruit alcohol, yeast and malt. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a yeast liqourice bitter alcohol malt palate. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Half was to a Belgian tripel.

Bottle shared thanks to Jmgreenuk. Pours hazy amber with an off white head. Aroma of fruits, toasted malt. Flavor is light moderate sweet and bitter. Soy in the palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

27.5 cl bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is mild fruity and light toasted malty. Toasted malty, light fruity and light bitter finish. Smooth fruity and light malty finish.

ChrisOs Marvellous Pre GBBF Mega Tasting. Light haze on this amber beer. Big fluffy white head. Light dry palate. Mild caramel malt. Reasonable hops - citrus and pine. Semi dry finish.

Bottle at Chrisoโ€™s Pre-GBBF Shindig, 2012, London. Meh, itโ€™s OK. Some booze, caramel, bread. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Not too much to say about this one. Yep, OK.

Bottled@chriso pre-gbbf shindig 2012. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, wooden and mildly alcoholic sweetness as well. Flavour is fruity, alcoholic, mild spices, nuts and some slight toasted notes. Big toffeeish and fruity aftertaste with some mild alcohol as well.

Bottle at Chrisoโ€™s Pre-GBBF Shindig, 2012. It pours cloudy golden yellow, with a thin white head. The nose is dough, light spice, straw and citrus pith. The taste is dough, spice, leather, caramel and golden syrup. Medium body, fine carbonation and well-hidden alcohol. Lacks the body I expect from Old Chimneys. Not much to it really...

At Chriso pre GBBF Shindig 2012. Strong and syrupy on aroma. Some fruit. Decent english strong ale. Tasty

Bottle 275ml. @ home on the terrace.[ Trade by cgarvieuk ]. Unclear - hazy matt light to medium amber colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy and open, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, fruity, vitage malt, light wood, alcohol - buzzy. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, candy yeast, caramel, fruity, UK hops, plum - mirabelle fruity. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is fizzy but looks very flat in the glass. [20120715]
