Bottle 33 cl. Pours an opaque black with a neat, solid light brown head. Surprisingly weak aroma, a hint of cocoa. Medium body only, feels kinda light for it's strength to be honest. Super dry, must be extremely attenuated. Kinda hollow, lacking in flavours, just bitter cocoa, malt bitter. Seriously don't understand the score here. 030418

At Boscafé 't Hijgend Hert, Vijlen. Shared with Anke.
Pours cloudy black with a small, diminishing, frothy, beige head. The aroma contains roasted malt, vanilla, some chocolate & coffee, hops & barley, cream. It tastes medium mocha-like sweet and light to medium roasted bitter; bit dry & toasty with some alcohol in the finish. Full body, oily/creamy texture, soft carbonation. Ideal to enjoy late in the evening.

Vom Fass auf den Berliner Braufest 2016-09 getrunken. Ein handwerklich sehr gut gemachtes, kräftiges Imperial Stout. Lecker!

Bottle from Maakun, many thanks! Pours almost pitch black with tall, beige head. Roasted aroma with some dark fruit, liquorice, chocolate and coffee. Taste is roasted with dark chocolate, burnt coffee, chalk and as others already mentioned, surprisingly a bit of marzipan. A slightly bitter finish. Solid. Great sipper.

Bottle at home, 1st December 16. Pours black, some carbonation. Aroma is liquorice, dark chocolate. Taste is liquorice, dark malts, palate is too thin and carbonated for the style. Drinks well and quite enjoyable.
