Chelmsford Winter Fest. Clear but dark brown beer. Light brown suddy head. Malt and sweet bubblegum nose. Light palate, a little dry. Dark malt, bubblegum, a little fruit and herbal medicine. Initially this was a bit too much but perseverance pays off. Smooth, tasty and highly unusual.

Bottle at the 2nd East Croydon Beer Tasting, thanks to Leighton. It pours very dark brown, with ruby highlights and a decent beige head. The nose is nail varnish remover, sweet ripe berry (blueberry & cherry) and syrup. The taste is sweet blueberry, blackberry, roasted malt, wood, dryness, alcohol warmth and chocolate, with a dry finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and slightly sticky mouth-feel. This is indeed a big mild.

Bottle from Bellingers, Jet Garage, Grove Nr Wantage, Oxon consumed at Kolding City Campsite, Kolding Denmark, 24-10-09 Pours dark brown with a light beige head. Nutty and caramel nose, the alcohol is a little rough at times but its a better than expected mild, though at this strength shouldn’t really be called a mild. There appears to be a little spice to this, but its a touch metallicy on the nose. A6 A3 F7 P3 Ov13 3.2
